Longtime Corpus Christi parishioner Bob Moyers dies Sept. 6 at age 76
COLORADO SPRINGS. Robert “Bob” Moyers, a longtime Corpus Christi parishioner and local attorney, died Sept. 6 at his home in Colorado Springs. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Sept. 18 at Corpus Christi Church, followed by burial at Eastonville Cemetery.
Moyers was born to James and Helen Moyers on Feb. 22, 1948 in Colorado Springs. After graduating from the University of Chicago, he studied law at the University of Colorado at Boulder and had a successful career as an attorney specializing in family law and estate planning. He also served on the board of Catholic Community Services from 1989-1992. He spoke several languages and enjoyed traveling and movies and was an active member of Corpus Christi Parish, serving as a lector.
He is survived by his brother, James P. Moyers II (Sandra); nephew, Matthew James Moyers (Ann); nieces, Cresta Moyers Derry (Dave) and Bond Moyers Schmit; as well as grandnieces and grandnephews. Donations can be made to Corpus Christi Catholic Church in his memory.
