COLORADO SPRINGS. Celestino “Tino” Archuleta, who served on the first board of directors of Colorado Springs Catholic Social Services, died April 11 at age 92. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated April 24 at Sacred Heart Parish in Colorado Springs, followed by burial at Caernero Creek Cemetery in La Garita.

NOTRE DAME, Indiana. Holy Cross Father Don Dilg, who served at several parishes in Colorado Springs in addition to his order’s novitiate in Cascade, died March 19 at age 76 in Notre Dame, Indiana, after a short illness. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated March 27 at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart in Notre Dame. Burial followed at the Congregation of Holy Cross cemetery.

COLORADO SPRINGS. Sister of St. Francis Roseria Slusarski died March 8 at age 88 at Mount St. Francis Nursing Center. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated March 20 at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Colorado Springs, followed by burial in Mount St. Francis cemetery. 

COLORADO SPRINGS. Gerald “Jay” Cimino, the retired president and CEO of the Phil Long Dealerships who was known throughout the Pikes Peak region for his philanthrophic activities, died Feb. 24 in Colorado Springs. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on March 1 at 10 a.m. at St. Paul Church. Due to the number of people who are anticipated to attend the funeral, it will also be livestreamed on the St. Paul Parish website at https://stpaulcos.org/livestream. Interment follows at Shrine of Remembrance. Bishop James Golka will offer the St. Patrick’s Day Mass on March 16 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Cathedral for the repose of his soul.

COLORADO SPRINGS. Benedictine Sister Mary Phyllis Echterling died Feb. 9 at Benet Hill Monastery. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Feb. 26, followed by inurnment at St. Benedict Cemetery. 

COLORADO SPRINGS. Dr. Nicholas J. Colarelli, an accomplished psychologist and devoted family man who spent his life championing the idea that love and belonging are fundamental to human flourishing, died Oct. 15 at age 93. Holy Cross Father Bob Epping celebrated a Mass of Christian Burial on Nov. 3 at Sacred Heart Church in Colorado Springs.

COLORADO SPRINGS. James Keeley, a former plant manager at St. Mary’s High School and longtime member of Sacred Heart Parish in Colorado Springs, died July 28 at age 88 in Manhattan, Kansas. A Memorial Mass was celebrated Aug. 9 at Sacred Heart.

COLORADO SPRINGS. Deacon Michael Ciletti, a retired deacon of the Diocese of Colorado Springs, died July 21 at age 81 after a battle with cancer.

FAIRVIEW, TEXAS. John Eaton, who was previously a member of Corpus Christi Parish and Knights of Columbus Council No. 7520, died July 24 at age 79 in Fairview, Texas.

COLORADO SPRINGS. Mary Patricia “Pat” McMahon died May 29 at age 91 at Mount St. Francis Nursing Center.
