Local St. Vincent de Paul society receives grant for rent and utility assistance

COLORADO SPRINGS. The St. Vincent de Paul Society of Holy Apostles Parish received a grant of $4,000 to provide rental and utilities assistance to people in need.
The grant was awarded by the Mountain View Round Up Fund, a community outreach of Mountain View Electric Association (MVEA).

SEDALIA. The annual Black Catholic Retreat took place this year on April 21-23 at the Sacred Heart Jesuit Retreat House, in Sedalia.

Father Chuck Wood was the retreat leader for our annual Black Catholic Retreat this year. Parishioners from both the Diocese of Colorado Springs and the Archdiocese of Denver were invited to attend. The diversity in age and ethnicity made this year’s retreat especially exciting.

COLORADO SPRINGS. On Friday, Aug. 12, 2022, shortly after 3 p.m., as they listened to a CD of Father Ken Geraci preaching on Divine Mercy, and with an hour left of their eight-hour drive to Omaha, Nebraska, Jim and Christine Cote had their world literally turned upside down.

Online homeschool conference set for June 9-10

BALTIMORE, MD. An online conference titled “Cultivating Holiness In Your Homeschool” will take place June 9-10, sponsored by Homeschool Connections. 
Keynote speakers will be well-known Catholic radio hosts and authors Dr. Greg and Lisa Popcak, who will speak on “How to Be a More Loving, Connected, Caring and Catholic Homeschool Family.”
