NOTRE DAME, Ind. Rev. Thomas Francis Lemos, C.S.C., 76, died at Holy Cross House, Notre Dame, Ind. on Dec. 30, 2024, after a short illness. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Jan. 6 at Basilica of the Sacred Heart in Notre Dame. Burial followed at the Congregation of Holy Cross cemetery in Notre Dame.

Timothée Chalamet convincingly portrays storied musician and songwriter Bob Dylan in “A Complete Unknown” (R, Searchlight), a well-crafted recreation of the early years of the iconic performer’s career. Both mature subject matter and salty vocabulary, however, mark the film as suitable for older moviegoers only.

Happy New Year! As we begin 2025, many of us are making our traditional new year resolutions on how we might live our lives better, develop healthier habits, and so on.

This is also a great opportunity to consider spiritual new year resolutions, especially as we begin the Jubilee Year of Hope. There are many spiritual resolutions we might consider, but I would like to suggest three that will help us to grow in being witnesses of joy and hope in our world.

¡Feliz Año Nuevo!  A principios de 2025, muchos de nosotros nos hacemos los tradicionales propósitos de año nuevo sobre cómo vivir mejor, desarrollar hábitos más saludables, etcétera. 

También es una buena oportunidad para plantearse propósitos espirituales para el nuevo año, especialmente al comenzar el Año Jubilar de la Esperanza.  Hay muchos propósitos espirituales que podríamos considerar, pero me gustaría sugerir tres que nos ayudarán a crecer para ser testigos de alegría y esperanza en nuestro mundo.
