COLORADO SPRINGS. The Diocese of Colorado Springs will commemorate the National Day of Remembrance for Aborted Children on Sept. 14 at 8:30 a.m. at Divine Redeemer Church, 901 N. Logan Ave., 80907. 

The diocesan day of remembance will begin with veneration of a relic of the Holy Cross, followed by Mass at 9 a.m. and prayer at the Memorial Garden for aborted children, just outside the church. The day will conclude with coffee and donuts, exhibits and a speaker in the community hall. All are invited to attend.

COLORADO SPRINGS. The Guadalupano Institute for Adult Formation (I.G.F.A.  is its acronym in Spanish) is the diocesan program in charge of the faith formation for adults in Spanish. It was created and managed by the Office of Hispanic Ministry.

I honestly don’t know how to describe the 10th National Eucharistic Congress, which both sadly and joyously came to conclusion in Indianapolis on July 21. Thus far, my efforts to find words all tend toward the inadequate, and the best I can do for the moment include “transformative,” “paradigm-shifting,” “unifying,” “unceasingly joyful,” “community-focused,” “celebratory,” “repentant,” “reconciliatory,” “full of unconditional love, presence, and mission.”  And with those, I’m just getting warmed up.  I left Indianapolis sad that it was over, but at the same time absolutely overjoyed at the wonderful experience Jesus allowed us all to share, and to carry forward. My heart has been dramatically changed by our Lord, yet again.
