COLORADO SPRINGS.  Our Lady of Walsingham Academy (OLWA), Colorado Springs’ first classical Catholic high school, has named Andrew Rossi as headmaster. He succeeds Mark Langley, who served as OLWA headmaster since the school’s founding in 2021.

Al contemplar los rostros sonrientes de todos los graduados de las escuelas católicas que aparecen en este número, espero que se unan a mí en una oración de acción de gracias por los padres de esos graduados.  Esos padres prefirieron el sacrificio a la comodidad; prefirieron el futuro de sus hijos a su propio presente.

As you look at the faces of all the smiling Catholic school graduates pictured in this issue, I hope you will join me in a prayer of thanksgiving for the parents of those graduates.  Those parents chose sacrifice over comfort; they chose their children’s future over their own present.

As we celebrate the feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus on June 7 (and honor the Sacred Heart during the entire month of June), it seems appropriate to reflect on the love of Christ.

A new rule is expected this month from the Supreme Court of the case of U.S. Food and Drug Administration vs. Alliance for Hippocratic Medicine. The case concerns the safety of Mifepristone and Misoprostol for medical abortion. Mifipristone is a drug used to block progesterone for a developing fetus ending its life and Misoprostol is used to induce uterine contractions to expel the dead tissue. What is the controversy?
