NEW YORK.  “A Haunting in Venice” (PG-13, 20th Century) is the third in a series of Agatha Christie adaptations, all featuring her famed sleuth Hercule Poirot, on which director and star Kenneth Branagh has collaborated with screenwriter Michael Green. Yet, in at least two related respects, the newcomer is noticeably distinct from its predecessors.

Day two of my pilgrimage pulls back its covers. Sky, mountains, forest, and trail emerge from early morning’s deep purple gloaming to bathe in streams of gold. Electric blue light lingers in the glen as I head out my own door in the Colorado mountains for the next day of pilgrimage prayer on the Camino de Santiago France, the most popular route of the famous pilgrimage  also known as the Way of St. James.

    General Robert Titus dies Sept. 8 at age 97

    COLORADO SPRINGS. General Robert Titus, a highly decorated veteran of three wars, died Sept. 8 at age 91. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Sept. 23 at Corpus Christi Parish, followed by burial in the U.S. Air Force Academy Cemetery.
