COLORADO SPRINGS. The 200 year-old Cristo Crucificando, also known as the Tilley Cross, soon will be shipped back home to Mexico.

The crucifix, presently on display in the Colorado College Fine Arts Center (FAC) in Colorado Springs, is believed to have once hung in a local chapel or village church in the Queretaro region, located in the north-central area of Mexico. The cross earned its nickname from the man who bought the piece. His daughter, Eve Tilley-Chavez, is president of the Pikes Peak Arts Council.

COLORADO SPRINGS. Seeing a need when they moved to Colorado Springs 14 years ago, Sean and Jenny Vostatek founded Joyfully Catholic, a ministry to strengthen Catholic marriages and families.  One of Joyfully Catholic’s largest initiatives is Fiat Family Fest, a Catholic family camp held each Labor Day weekend at the Ponderosa Retreat and Conference Center in Larkspur. This summer, Fiat Family Fest will be held Sept. 1-3, with around 350 retreatants expected to attend.

COLORADO SPRINGS. St. Patrick Parish will continuously adore the Blessed Sacrament in Our Lady of Knock Chapel after the 11:30 a.m. Mass on June 4 through June 10 at 4 p.m. This extended period of adoration will be in honor of the Feast of Corpus Christi on June 11 and to highlight the start of the second year of our nation’s Eucharistic Revival — which will be focused on the parish level.
