NEW YORK. Viewers of “The Last Supper” (PG-13, Pinnacle Peak), director and co-writer Mauro Borrelli’s dramatization of events surrounding the Passion, may be able to tell that he has a strong visual background. A veteran art designer who has collaborated with such high-profile figures as Tim Burton, Borrelli gives us some warm and vivid imagery.

NEW YORK. In 2012, Scottish professional diver Chris Lemons was temporarily stranded at the bottom of the North Sea with a rapidly dwindling supply of oxygen. Both before and after Lemons lost consciousness, two of his colleagues raced to save his life.

NEW YORK. A globe-trotting adventure awaits in “Paddington in Peru” (PG, Columbia), the third film in the series featuring the red hatted and blue duffle-coated talking bear (voice of Ben Whishaw) that kicked off in 2014.

St. Gabriel the Archangel Parish will host an art presentation titled “The Face of the Shroud” on Feb. 28 at 6 p.m. Artist Roger Wade Bassett will discuss his paintings of Biblical scenes, which feature the face shown on the Shroud of Turin. Timothée Chalamet convincingly portrays storied musician and songwriter Bob Dylan in “A Complete Unknown” (R, Searchlight), a well-crafted recreation of the early years of the iconic performer’s career. Both mature subject matter and salty vocabulary, however, mark the film as suitable for older moviegoers only.
