Priest Appreciation Contest now open for entries

COLORADO SPRINGS. The St. Serra Club of Colorado Springs is holding its annual Priesthood Appreciation Contest for kids ages Pre-K-12 in celebration of Priesthood Sunday on Sept. 24.

The theme of this year’s contest is “No Priest, No Eucharist, What Does That Mean To You?” Entries can include essays, encouraging letters, poems, artwork, videos or thank-you cards expressing gratitude to priests. Submissions are due Oct. 31 and can be sent to serracosprings@gmail.com.

Contestants will be divided into four age groups: Pre-K to first grade; second through fourth grade; fifth through eighth grade; and high school (grades 9-12).

Winners will be announced during National Vocation Awareness Week, which takes place Nov. 5-11 this year. For more information, call 719-302-5722 or send an email to serracosprings@gmail.com.
