Sister Jeannette Marie Weber, OSF, dies July 26 at age 77

COLORADO SPRINGS. Sister Jeannette Marie Weber, OSF, died July 26 at age 77.

Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Aug. 5 at St. Francis of Assisi Parish, followed by burial in Mount St. Francis Cemetery.

Sister Jeannette was born June 21, 1947, in Hays, Kansas, the oldest of six siblings born to Henry and Helen Weber. She graduated from St. Joseph Convent High School in 1965 and entered the Sisters of St. Francis of Perpetual Adoration on Aug. 12, 1966. She professed perpetual vows on Aug. 11, 1973.

After graduating from the University of Albuquerque School of Nursing in 1970, she worked at hospitals in Colorado, Nebraska and New Mexico. From 1974-2012, she worked at St. Anthony Hospital in Denver.

In 2012, she moved to Mount St. Francis, where she worked as nurse coordinator for those living in the sisters care unit at Mount St. Francis Nursing Center.
