Lay people who feel called to a deeper life of prayer are invited to learn about the Lay Carmelites at one of their upcoming informational meetings. Lay Carmelites live according to the example of the prophet Elijah, the Blessed Mother, and Carmelite saints such as St. Teresa of Avila, St. John of the Cross and St. Therese of Lisieux. Meetings will take place on Oct. 3 from 7-8 p.m. and Oct. 12 from 10-11 a.m. in the St. Michael Room at St. Gabriel the Archangel Parish.
