Misioneros de San Francisco evangelize by serving the homeless

He said to him the third time, “Simon, son of John, do you love me?” Peter was grieved because he said to him the third time, “Do you love me?” And he said to him, “Lord, you know everything; you know that I love you.” Jesus said to him, “Feed my sheep." (Jn 21:17)

For the past year or so, a group of men from Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish have been working together on a monthly distribution of food and clothing to the homeless community in Colorado Springs.

COLORADO SPRINGS. A young Italian website designer will be canonized on April 27 at St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome for using his computer skills to praise God and spread devotion to the Eucharist.

Carlo Acutis created a website dedicated to cataloguing every reported Eucharistic miracle in the world and maintained a list of the approved Marian apparitions of the Catholic Church.

Sacred Place: First-ever diocesan shrine to be established at DR Church

COLORADO SPRINGS. On March 17, Bishop James Golka announced plans to create a new diocesan Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe at Divine Redeemer Church, located at 927 N. Logan Ave., Colorado Springs. A dedication ceremony is tentatively scheduled for the weekend of July 5-6, 2025.

St. Dominic Parish to show film on the Eucharist

SECURITY. St. Dominic Parish in Security and the Catholic Daughters Court Holy Family will hold a screening of “Christ Thirsts: The Miracle of the Eucharist” on March 13 at 6 p.m. in the narthex. All are invited to attend; children must be accompanied by an adult. Snacks will be provided before the movie.

Confraternity of Christian Mothers Lenten retreats

COLORADO SPRINGS. The Confraternity of Christian Mothers will hold two Lenten retreats for women. The first retreat will take place at Holy Trinity Parish on March 15 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Father David Boroff will celebrate Mass at 10 a.m., followed by brunch and a talk at the Hope House. Participants are asked to bring a brunch item to share. The second retreat will take place on April 10 at Corpus Christi Parish from 5:30-9 p.m. The evening begins with Mass at 5:30 p.m., followed by a talk by Father Martin Latiff of Miles Christi.
